The geotechnical and geoenvironmental industry is currently in an exciting phase, facing numerous significant trends and challenges that will shape its future trajectory. One notable trend is the increasing emphasis on sustainability and environmental stewardship. There is a growing demand for innovative geotechnical solutions that not only minimize environmental impact but also promote sustainable development. Another crucial aspect is the integration of technology into the field. The emergence of advanced modelling and simulation tools, as well as the incorporation of artificial intelligence and machine learning, has revolutionized geotechnical engineering practices. These cutting-edge technologies enable more accurate site characterization, improved risk assessment, and the development of optimized designs.
