Synopsis:

This talk will present the Long Baseline Neutrino Facility Far Site (LBNF) project is located deep underground at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. SURF is a dedicated underground scientific facility located at the former site of the Homestake Gold Mine. The new LBNF facility will house the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), an international flagship experiment which will seek to enhance our understanding of the universe, the matter which comprises it, and ultimately the role that the neutrino plays in all of it. The project is funded by the US Department of Energy and managed by the Fermi Research Alliance. Fermilab is the host laboratory for DUNE, in partnership with a wider, global consortium of agencies and institutions.
